Over the last 5 months, On Call Africa staff, medical volunteers and Public Health students from Touro University have been supporting Zimba District Health Office to develop health promotion resources aimed at addressing the common challenges faced in Zimba District.
The resources are intended for health workers and Community Based Volunteers to support them to deliver health promotion sessions at health facilities, and within communities to develop health literacy and strengthen community action.
We are excited to share that the resources developed have now been approved by Zimba District Health Office and will support health workers and Community Based Volunteers to improve health literacy and promote community action across the district. The resources developed can be accessed below:
1. Child Health Posters
2. Oral health CBV training English
3. Family planning health promotion
4. Antenatal Care Health Promotion Explanation
‘’The Team at Zimba District Health Office is pleased with these resources, thank you so much to the volunteers and On Call Africa for putting them together, they will be a very good resource’’
Winston Mweemba, Zimba District Health Office
