On Call Africa has appointed Chi Kavindele as its new Chair, effective January 2025. Zambian-born Chi, who has been an OCA Trustee since 2021, works for a charity and social business in the UK. He succeeds Kirsty Tolmie, the outgoing Chair and founding trustee, who has transitioned to a part-time Clinical Director role with OCA.
Chi expressed his enthusiasm for his new role, saying, “I am excited to be taking up the Chair role at On Call Africa at such a pivotal time in our history. We have all the ingredients to grow our impact: an exceptionally strong staff team, an experienced board of trustees, and truly collaborative relationships with funders and the Ministry of Health in Zambia, all to benefit the communities we’re privileged to serve.”
